We all know that the ringtones(sounds) that comes as default for the iPhone can be an ear ache after a while, thus being able to rock your own favourite tunes as a custom ringtone will be much more of a refreshing sound.

There are of course many ways of doing this including via iTunes, but i like using specialised softwares with a dedicated user interface, especially if its free, not only can i use it for the iPhone, but for my other mobile devices as well. For those of you that might still be struggling to find easier ways to create custom ringtones, iRinger will be a good solution. I’ve created tonnes of customised ringtones in minutes and it works with the latest iPhone firmware.

iRinger creates free ringtones for your iPhone (3G, 3GS) from
virtually any music or video file you own. Even YouTube videos!
iRinger exports ringtones to iTunes, so there is no need to “jailbreak”
your iPhone. You will be creating ringtones in seconds. It’s that simple.

Ringtones are created in 30 seconds maximum length, or you can choose to have it shorter than that. Once a song is imported, you can use the pane with blue sound waveforms to drag and choose any part of the song, you can also add fade in/out, increase/decrease the volume and other effects that pops out on a little side window.

Ringtones can be directly exported on the iPhone using SCP or Straight to iTunes, though i prefer the latter.
